Dynamic Helper
Function:
System to assist the coupling of locomotives in the tail of a railway composition in the crossing of slopes (Locomotives Helper). After passing the freight train through the diversion, the Helper locomotives begin to dynamically pursue the composition, with electronic control of speed, distance, position (via GPS) and even coupling.
Benefits:
- Decrease in the downtime of the track for the coupling, when compared to manual operation, with a consequent increase in productivity;
- Fuel savings, as there is no need to remove the train from inertia (start-up) when compared to manual operation;
- Increased safety in coupling operation.
